Family tradition since 1900

Café Suárez is a family company of coffee growers and roasters. Our family tradition goes back to 1900, when Domingo Suadi arrived from the Middle East to the highlands of Boquete, Chiriquí in the Republic of Panama. Domingo married Antonia and started a family project that would grow for five generations.

On the Barú volcano outskirts,  there is a yellow house that holds more than 100 years of history. Our house in Alto Quiel is the heart of our tradition.

Today, the fourth and fifth generation of the Suarez family -with the immense help and wisdom of members of the indigenous community Ngobe- grow, cultivate, process, pack, distribute, and sell the product of our love for the land.

Our farm is above 1500 feet over sea level, which is considered ideal for the growth of high-quality coffee, along with our volcanic soil, our GMO-free organic environment, and the 70 hectares of land where our ancestors planted the first seeds.

Our craft -and mission- is to preserve the tradition and offer you a great cup of our specialty coffee. From our house to your cup.

Our Values

Sustainability

Our family has taken care of this land for more than 100 years, and we want to keep doing it. That’s why we make sure that our farming is as environmentally friendly as possible.

Community

Within our core values is our community. The Ngobe people have lived in the area for centuries, and possess ancient knowledge and wisdom on how to take the best care of it. They are the soul of our process, and core members of our company.

Female Empowerment

We are -proudly- a female-led company.
